w.illi.am/ comes from the Germanic name Wilhelm: wille for will and helm for protection.
In an increasingly mature and highly competitive industry, w.illi.am/ has humanized a profession, making it about more than just digital technology. It’s about getting back to basics: communication. Its experts have helped shape the character of the profession through their interdisciplinary approach and close collaboration with clients.

While the name w.illi.am/ evokes the human nature of communication, the “.” and “/” are a nod to the world of technology.

w.illi.am/ is not:

  • William James Adams, Jr., known by his stage name will.i.am ("will I am"), an American rapper, musician...
  • Prince William, Duke of Cambridge

Founded in the Cité du multimédia, w.illi.am/ is above all many stories of passionate peole dedicated to new technology

In 2007, the digital industry was gaining in strength and scope worldwide. Power Corporation of Canada asked three web pioneers, Marco Dodier as president, Damien Lefebvre as co-president, and Annie Levesque as co-president, to create the Canadian leader in digital consulting and development in Montreal.

On October 1, 2008, the management company owned by Square Victoria Digital Properties Inc., a subsidiary of Power Corporation of Canada, was officially named w.illi.am/ and started out on its remarkable journey.

From the outset, w.illi.am/ developed expertise in two areas: consulting and development. Today, w.illi.am/ has 50 experts working in Montreal and Toronto, who use their different skill sets to guide the agency’s clients. Each discipline is headed up by specialists with over 10 years of experience.

w.illi.am/ has been expanding since 2007. Every year, the company grows an average of 30%.

w.illi.am/ started setting its sights beyond the borders of Quebec by building business relationships in Toronto in 2010 and 2011, laying the groundwork for international expansion. Today, with major business ties with the United States, the w.illi.am/ team is eagerly looking toward a promising future in the digital world.

The number of employees has grown sevenfold in four years, from seven to over 50 experts. At the same time, the Montreal offices have tripled in size. Originally located in the Cité du multimédia, w.illi.am/ moved downtown to the Quartier des spectacles in 2009.
